Veterans Day, which was originally called Armistice Day for the Armistice with Germany in World War I. This holiday coincide and holds its origins with other countries’ celebrations of the ending of WWI, Armistice day & Remembrance Day. Celebrated on November 11th due to WWI hostilities officially ending on the 11th hour of the 11th month in 1918. Veterans Day honors those who have served in the past. Armed Forces Day honors those who are still serving. And finally, Memorial Day, honors those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
For many of us Veterans, we can be looked at as “warriors without a war.” We serve in theaters of operations all over the world. We were living a life that did not compare to civilian domestic life. When the time comes, or the decision is made to transition, it can be difficult.
The fact of the matter is that there is always a “war” to be fought. Be it our mental and physical health, taking care of our families, or achieving new goals in life. We can take our life experiences and articulate them to our current situations. In doing that we can continue the “fight” and achieve our goals.
Masada Tactical was founded by a Veteran of the IDF and is further staffed by U.S. Military and first responder veterans who bring their experiences and training to its Masada family. We try to create the same environment of camaraderie & trust among the instructors, staff, and members. Together we help each other grow and learn. The same way veterans who have served depended on and depend on brothers and sisters who served by their side.
Just remember all the sacrifices that have been made for us by those who have served to preserve the continuation of our freedom. Honor them by making the best of your lives and our country.
